For Mio devices with pre-installed with US maps, your map updates include the complete map of the US with every road linked to every other road, as an inter-connected fully navigable road network. The US map update includes over 6.4 million miles of roads, over 300 million addresses covering over 97% of the U.S. population, and an address find rate of 95% or better.
For Mio devices with pre-installed with US & Canada maps, your map update will include everything listed above, plus maps of Canada. The Canada map update portion includes over 500,000 miles of roads that are linked to every other road, as an inter-connected fully navigable road network, addresses covering over 65% of the Canadian population (varies by Province from 40%-100%), and an address find rate of 80% or better (varies by province).
Map updates also offer updated road shapes & real-world placement for accurately displaying roads on your device screen, new or updated one-way street navigation information, new highway exits for improved driving directions, new and updated addresses, and more “back roads” for more routing options. Your map update will also have thousands of new additional points of interest (POI), and the old POIs have been removed or updated with new address & phone number information.
